F1 Schedule Abu Dhabi 2025: Dates, Start Time & Concerts

Make sure that you are all set for the 2025 F1 season finale by reading our expert guide to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

If you're planning to be in Abu Dhabi for the thrilling finale for the F1 season, Elegant Resorts has got you covered with our guide to the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Here you'll find the full F1 schedule for Abu Dhabi 2025 including the start times, a breakdown of the ticket packages that are available and details of the highly anticipated Abu Dhabi GP Concerts which are almost worth the ticket price by themselves!

When is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025?

The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be held over the weekend of 5th - 7th December. It will be the 24th and final round of the 2025 F1 World Championship and largely expected to be a championship deciding race.
This would make it the first time since 2021 that the driver championship has gone down to the wire, with McLaren team-mates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri having endured a season-long battle for supremacy in the dominant McLaren Mercedes MCL39.
At the time of writing, Max Verstappen is still in the running to retain his title but it is a long shot given the points gap the McLaren drivers have over the four times world champion. Nevertheless, it is more than possible that he will still enter the race with a mathematical chance of winning his fifth consecutive drivers crown.

What Time Does the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Start?

The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix start time will be 17:00 local time, making it the only race which takes place during the transition from day to night. This is a fitting analogy for the end of the F1 season.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix start time in the UK will be at 13:00, creating the perfect timeslot for getting together with friends or family to watch the highly anticipated conclusion to the season.
If you are attending the Grand Prix in person, then you need to make sure you are at the circuit for 13:30 on Friday 5th December for the first practice session of the weekend. This one hour session will be followed by a second one hour session starting at 17:00 local time.
The third and final practice session will take place on Saturday afternoon at 14:30 local time ahead of the all important qualifying session. This will start at 18:00 local time, which will be 14:00 UK time for anyone watching the session live at home on the Sky Sports F1 channel.

F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Ticket Packages

If you are intending to be at the circuit to witness history being made on Sunday, then there are a number of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket packages to take into consideration. These span from straightforward grandstand seating to ultra-premium paddock club hospitality.
Most fans will opt for the standard grandstand tickets. These provide reserved seating at key vantage points around the spectacular Yas Marina Circuit. You can choose from a range of views including of the main start/finish straight or certain corners and sections of the track depending on your preference.
For a completely unrivalled sports holiday experience, you may want to consider the VIP hospitality packages. This includes F1 Paddock Club access which gives you more than just great views - it immerses you in the paddock environment, offering behind-the-scenes access, gourmet food and premium comforts.
A standard 3-day Paddock Club package transcends traditional hospitality packages. Anyone who is lucky enough to hold an F1 paddock club ticket is granted access to an exclusive area nestled above the team garages and pit lane where high octane racing meets ultra high end indulgence. This is a world away from the crowded grandstands, providing guests with the best views overlooking the race track and pit lane. From here you'll see the race start, the frantic pit stops completed and the winner take the checkered flag right in front of your eyes.
Alongside this, you'll enjoy gourmet food, fine wines & champagne, a live feed of all the best action from the circuit and special appearances from F1 celebrities including famous drivers, team bosses and former champions. It's simply the best place to be during the weekend for F1 fans and newcomers to the sport alike.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Concerts

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix isn't just about the F1 race. Each evening fans at the circuit can enjoy spectacular performances from some of the world's leading music acts as part of the Yasalam After-Race Concerts. Fans with standard grandstand tickets and F1 paddock club access will both receive passes to these events as part of their F1 ticket package.
On Thursday, 4 December, Benson Boone will headline the opening concert with hits like Beautiful Things and Slow It Down. On Friday, the line up intensifies with Post Malone, supported by Middle Eastern star Elyanna.
Things move up a gear on Saturday night when fans will be treated to a performance from heavy metal band Metallica, before the weekend is rounded off on Sunday with a performance from F1 regular Katy Perry.
These concerts turn the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend into more than a race: it becomes a full scale entertainment festival, allowing fans to unwind and celebrate at the end of each high-octane day at the circuit.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Tips

The 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was dominated by McLaren's Lando Norris, who took an easy lights to flag victory ahead of the Ferrari pairing of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. This was enough to secure the constructors championship title for McLaren for the first time since 1998, despite his team-mate Oscar Piastri being ruled out of contention having been knocked into a spin by Max Verstappen at the first corner.
Nevertheless, Norris had the edge on Piastri all weekend in 2024, outpacing his team-mate by an impressive three tenths of a second on the previous day to secure pole position. The Yas Marina circuit is a strong one for Norris who has historically performed well at the event. This will be important for the Brit if he is to secure his first world championship title in the final round of the 2025 season.
Max Verstappen is no stranger to success at the event either, having won the race on four previous occasions. If the battle between the McLaren pairing gets reduced to fisticuffs during the race, then you can bank on Verstappen being on hand to claim the top prize, both at this race and in the championship overall.
Away from the championship battle, Lewis Hamilton will be under pressure to end his first year at Ferrari on a high. Failure to finish in the top three would make 2025 the first season where Lewis Hamilton has failed to claim a single podium finish.
Make sure you are there, live and in person to see the 2025 Formula One World Champion crowned by purchasing an Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Holiday Package with Elegant Sports.
