When it comes to extraordinary natural beauty and unforgettable adventures, few destinations compare to Dominica. Known as the ‘Nature Island’ of the Caribbean, this stunning island offers a refreshing alternative to the Caribbean’s more developed resort islands, with emerald rainforests, volcanic peaks, stunning waterfalls and secluded beaches creating an idyllic setting for a truly unique escape.
With Elegant Resorts, tailor made holidays to Dominica can be designed entirely around your interests. Whether you dream of a romantic retreat, a luxurious beach holiday or an adventure-filled escape exploring the island’s remarkable landscapes, our Luxury Travel Specialists can help you create a bespoke Dominica holiday itinerary which is every bit as unique as you are.
One of the great strengths of Dominica lies in its ability to offer something different to every traveller. You could spend your days hiking through tropical forests, discovering hidden natural pools, snorkelling among vibrant marine life or relaxing in naturally heated sulphur springs. Meanwhile, the colourful capital of Roseau provides the opportunity to discover the island’s Creole heritage, lively markets and delicious local cuisine. With so much to experience, working with the Luxury Travel Specialists at Elegant Resorts allows you to create an itinerary that reflects your own priorities, combining the ideal accommodation with memorable excursions, activities and experiences.
Choosing where to stay is naturally one of the most important parts of planning your escape and our handpicked collection of luxury Dominica hotels ensures that there is an option that will appeal to varying tastes. From intimate boutique hideaways surrounded by tropical vegetation to off the beaten path private retreats that celebrate the island’s natural beauty, our collection of hotels in Dominica provide the perfect base for those looking for comfort, privacy and unrivalled luxury. The Luxury Travel Specialists at Elegant Resorts will help you decide which accommodation best suits your preferences and aspirations, whether you’re looking for beautiful beaches, romance or adventure.
Unlike conventional Caribbean destinations dominated by expansive beachfront developments, Dominica’s hospitality scene places a strong emphasis on sustainability, tranquillity and immersive experiences. Many of the island’s most celebrated hotels make the most of their spectacular settings, whether they are overlooking the Caribbean Sea, nestled within lush gardens or surrounded by tropical rainforest. These distinctive Dominica resorts all have the characteristic of providing travellers with a sense of unrivalled seclusion, alongside opportunities to learn more about the surrounding natural environment.
For a relaxing beach holiday, your bespoke itinerary could include leisurely afternoons on the island’s picturesque coastline, private dining opportunities and time to enjoy the warm Caribbean waters. Although Dominica is better known for its dramatic natural scenery than for long stretches of white sand, its beaches still offer plenty of opportunities to unwind between adventures. Your Luxury Travel Specialists can help you find the right balance between relaxation and exploration, ensuring your chosen Dominica hotel complements the style of holiday you have in mind.
Couples considering romantic holidays to Dominica will find themselves particularly well accommodated. Here you will yourself waking to rainforest views, sharing a romantic evening meal beneath the stars or soaking together in a natural hot spring after a day exploring. For honeymooners, the destination offers the perfect combination of privacy, unforgettable scenery and authentic Caribbean character. Our Luxury Travel Specialists can help you arrange a bespoke honeymoon itinerary featuring the perfect accommodation, romantic experiences and carefully selected excursions that allow you to celebrate your time together in a setting far removed from everyday life.
Dominica is an equally appealing holiday destination for active travellers, particularly those interested in watersports and marine exploration. Its volcanic coastline and underwater landscapes create exceptional opportunities for scuba diving and snorkelling, with colourful reefs and fascinating marine life to discover. Whale-watching excursions, kayaking along the coast and private sailing trips to secluded bays can add further variety to your stay. Inland, guided rainforest walks, visits to breathtaking waterfalls and hikes towards volcanic viewpoints reveal another side of the island. Whether you prefer gentle excursions or more challenging adventures, your itinerary can be tailored around your preferred interests.
The island’s cultural experiences are just as rewarding. You could choose to explore Roseau’s historic streets, sample Creole dishes made with fresh local ingredients or discover the traditions of the Kalinago Territory, home to the Indigenous Kalinago people. These experiences provide a deeper understanding of Dominica’s culture and the origins of its people, providing a holiday experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
