Luxury Holidays At Duba Explorers Camp
A Boutique, Eco-Luxury camp with just 5 luxury tents, plus a two-tent private villa, Duba Plains is a 1920’s-inspired camp located within Northern Botswana. Set within the lush green delta habitat of the 77,000-acre Duba Plains Reserve, in the famous Okavango Delta, Duba Plains provides guests with remarkably diverse wildlife sightings in addition to varied land and water-based safari experiences. Re-opened last year, this exclusive conservation camp is fringed by islands, floodplains and marshes — boasting dream vantage points for keen bird-spotters and photography enthusiasts. Quite in addition to the twice-daily game drives, guided walks, boating cruises, photography workshops and fishing are also available — and are very much part of the unique Botswana experience.
With each spacious, vintage-inspired, luxury tent entitled to complimentary use of a Canon 5D camera and lenses, plus use of Swarovski binoculars — along with Duba Plain’s own specially-adapted photographic boat — there is every reason to capture the moment and to take home a collection of incredible wildlife sightings. When not mesmerised by the rich game-life and stunning scenery, guests can take a dip in the outdoor freshwater pool, enjoy a massage, relax in the library, visit the Media Centre or buy souvenirs at the curio shop. Following the second game drive of the day, evenings can be spent dining under the brilliant stellar skies, or at the interactive Chef’s kitchen. For families, the Duba Plains Suite is a two-bedroom tented villa that can accommodate a family of up to five people. It comes with a private vehicle, guide, and dedicated chef and operates like a stand-alone villa ensuring maximum luxury and privacy. Children are provided with a backpack of amenities and can take part in a Young Explorers programme. Along with its remote location (access is by air only), petite size and prolific wildlife, guests have the enviable opportunity to also see several unique species of mammals and to be part of a true conservation program with a green footprint. With a Great Plains safari, guests are supporting local communities, benefitting from highly-trained guides and local bush experience plus learning about essential conservation initiatives.
