Luxury Holidays At San Camp
San Camp is perched on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, close to the national park of the same name. With just seven tents, this intimate, minimalistic camp is the perfect add-on to a luxury Botswana safari in the lush greenery of the Okavango Delta and Chobe River. After a day spent walking with the bushmen, interacting with the cheeky meerkats or taking a quadbike across the salt pans, hearty three-course dinners are served in the central mess tent. Take time to explore the cabinets which are filled with desert curios, old maps and ancient fossils, before heading outside to see the stars filling the night sky. This eco-friendly camp has a minimal impact on the environment and is run on solar power, with romantic lanterns lighting the way at night.
San Camp is only open in the dry season from April to October when the Nwetwe Pan is accessible.
