Luxury Holidays At The Capra

The Capra is an intimate alpine lodge combining the cosiness of a chalet with the comforts of a five-star hotel, known for its impeccable standards, convenient location and intelligent, understated luxury. With just 38 rooms and suites – boasting panoramic views of snow-frosted peaks, pristine valleys and wide-open skies - The Capra genuinely feels like a private hideaway. Every suite has a separate living space and private balcony, so you can really make yourself at home. After you’ve enjoyed all that Saas-Fee - Switzerland’s most unspoiled ski resort - and the surrounding area has to offer, The Capra’s fire-lit lounge, snug library, and delightful spa are designed to soothe your senses. As well as the wealth of wintery delights to enjoy - including skiing, sledging, snowshoeing and even multi-day Ski Safaris - the mountains are equally as enchanting in the summertime. Head out on guided hikes, enjoy tennis with stunning surroundings, speed by scooter along dedicated tracks, or embark on a tour of the valley, sampling Swiss wine and artisan cheese. Dining & Gourmet

For an unforgettable culinary experience après ski, the highly decorated Brasserie - which has recently been awarded 'The Michelin Plate' - offers an exceptional menu based on seasonality and sustainability. The spotlight is on quality produce, cooked with delicate precision and imaginative flair, alongside an impressive wine selection. During the winter season, Fine Dining Thursdays take place in the atmospheric wine cellar, where a maximum of 14 guests are served a five-course tasting menu paired with wine. During the 2020 winter season, there will also be two exciting Chefs on the Mountains weekends, during which renowned guest chefs visit The Capra to cook alongside the resident kitchen team.

Situated in the idyllic Swiss ski village, Capra offers not only comfort and sophistication but an unbeatable selection of activities, to be organised by the in-house concierge - including on-piste Performance training, Freeride, Heli-skiing, Racing, Freestyle & Telemark. Choose from three freestyle pistes: the winter park in Morenia (2600m), the summer park on the Mittelallalin (3600m), or the beginners' park at Stafelwald (1900m). After mastering Saas-Fee's slopes, embrace the wonderful six-day Ski Safari and explore the new terrain of nearby ski resorts each day, many of which are true "hidden treasures". You will be accompanied by a professional ski guide throughout and all your private transfers will be arranged for you, while returning to the luxury of The Capra each evening.

The concierge team at Elegant Resorts would be delighted to assist with arrangements for your next luxury ski holiday, including pre-booking equipment and kindergarten places. Lift passes for certain resorts can be booked by us prior to travel, but can also be purchased upon arrival. We strongly recommend securing ski or snowboard tuition (if required) before you travel, whether individual or group lessons are needed. To make the most of the ski school experience, it is essential that pupils are of the same ability-level – otherwise, separate instructors will be required. Please let your Travel Consultant know you wish to have lessons when you make your holiday booking, as they would be pleased to advise you.
