Disabled Services

The hotel offers many ADA accessible rooms which feature a roll-in shower upon request, grab bars, a fold-down shower seat, hand-held shower, large floor space, electrical sockets close to the bed and easy transitions between flooring. Around the hotel there are lifts, along with a special lift for disabled guests to access the swimming pool. Two rooms in this hotel are fully accessible and feature Surehand Lift and Care Systems which involves a ceiling track system that goes across two queen adjustable beds. The track goes through a sliding doorway to access the whirlpool bathtub, large roll-in shower and accessible sink area.

Nevada’s summers, from June to September, see lots of sunshine and soaring temperatures, peaking in July as they reach 35⁰C. Annual rainfall is relatively low around the lake, but the most precipitation is seen between November and March. Winter snow showers are also frequent, with harsh morning frosts and icy conditions at night. April brings the great thaw, during which daytime temperatures gradually climb to a pleasant 20⁰C, though nights remain very cold.

Alternatively, visit Tallac Historic Site, resting on the excavated grounds of an old holiday retreat, once flocked to by San Francisco’s high society at the turn of the 20th century. Today, you will find a charming community arts centre and small museum. Nearby, discover the Pope Estate, offering more glorious art and guided tours, whilst the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum exhibits interesting artefacts from the area’s pioneering past.
