Climate

San Diego is known for having year-round pleasant temperatures that never become exceedingly hot or cold, meaning there are plenty of chances to go! May and June are known for having slightly overcast skies, so expect some cloud during these months, though you will benefit from fewer fellow visitors and warm temperatures of up to 23°c. July and August are the most popular times to visit San Diego, when skies are sunnier, and an array of events and festivals are held. September continues the warm weather and crowds begin to tail off again, making this a good time to visit, especially for the culinary events that are held during this month. The city is quieter over the winter months, when rainfall increases, so beach days become off limits, with cold sea temperatures and frequent showers from November to March.
