Your self-drive itinerary concludes in the mountain resort of Whistler, gazing at far-reaching views and choosing from a wealth of outdoor activities. Day 1 to 3 Accommodation

Vancouver

Your family adventure begins with three nights in vibrant Vancouver, an impressive city combining the sophistication of a world-class metropolis with spectacular natural surroundings. Take a private car transfer from Vancouver International Airport to the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. Boasting colourful downtown neighbourhoods, thriving green parks and an abundance of fantastic restaurants, interesting museums and impressive architecture, you’re sure to find something to do in this cosmopolitan city. Spend time exploring and taking in the beautiful landmarks from Stanley Park to Gastown and Granville Island Market. Take a trip the rugged North Shore, explore Capilano Suspension Bridge Park or soar from coast to coast at FlyOver Canada, an impressive state-of-the-art flight simulation.

Day 4 to 5 Accommodation

Victoria

Pick up your hire car and depart Vancouver on BC Ferries to Victoria. Disembark and drive to the southern end of Vancouver Island for a two-night stay. Victoria is an attractive destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts with plenty of things to keep the whole family entertained. See the free-flying butterflies and exotic birds at the Victoria Butterfly Gardens plus an array of tropical wildlife from iguanas to flamingos. Try your hand at the Canadian backyard sport ofaxe throwing, visit Butchart Gardens or enjoy a whale watching cruise.

Day 6 to 9 Accommodation

Tofino

Head into the heart of the Vancouver Island's west coast via a breathtaking drive along the Pacific Rim Highway. Spend four nights being captivated by the stunning natural scenery and remote wilderness that Tofino has to offer. You won't want to miss the immersive wildlife tours from watching black bears as they forage and scour for breakfast whilst you look on in amazement, to taking to a zodiac boat in search of Orcas and many other species of whale. Outdoor activities and adventure are a specialty here, with sea-kayaking, surfing, biking or fishing all on the agenda. Spend your last evening gazing at the stars after an epic few days discovering the great outdoors and reliving unforgettable wildlife discoveries.

Day 10 to 15 Accommodation

Whistler

After taking the ferry back to the mainland, drive north along the Sea to Sky Highway and arrive in the mountain resort of Whistler, where you'll spend the next five nights. Spend an afternoon exploring the eclectic downtown shops and cafes, hiking along nature trails, or relaxing and breathing in the fresh mountain air. There are plenty of activities for all ages to enjoy in this year-round destination, from exhilarating canoe tours to a thrilling gondola ride up the mountain, as well as boardwalks through the trees and exhilarating zipline rides. On your final day you will drive back to Vancouver and drop your hire car off at the airport before checking in for your flight back to the UK.
