Day 1 to 2 Accommodation

Lima

Arrive in Peru’s capital city, where you’ll spend two nights staying in fashionable Miraflores. Spend day two discovering Lima’s historic centre and culinary delights on a full-day tour.

Day 3 to 5 Accommodation

Sacred Valley

Fly to Cusco and visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman before lunch at a local restaurant. Next, a private transfer takes you to the Sacred Valley of the Incas for three nights at Río Sagrado, A Belmond Hotel. Spend the next two days seeing ancient ruins and learning about Andean culture against the breathtaking backdrop of the Urubamba Mountains.

Day 6 Accommodation

Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu

This morning, visit the thriving Inca village of Ollantaytambo before boarding the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. Journey towards the world-renowned Inca ruins of Machu Picchu whilst enjoying sweeping views of the Urubamba River. After a delicious lunch in a local restaurant, it’s time to travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu. Explore the sacred Inca citadel, sure to be a highlight of your trip. Stay close by at Sanctuary Lodge, A Belmond Hotel, where unparalleled views across the site from the hotel’s beautiful gardens await.

Day 7 Accommodation

Machu Picchu and Cusco

There’s more time to explore Machu Picchu today before taking the legendary Hiram Bingham train back to Cusco. Sip an aperitif and savour gourmet food, then step out in the open-air observation car and gaze in wonder at the sun setting over the mountain peaks. Transfer to Palacio Nazarenas, A Belmond Hotel on arrival at the station.

Day 8 to 9 Accommodation

Cusco

Discover Cusco’s highlights and hidden gems with a local guide this morning. The rest of the day is free for further exploration, shopping or simply to unwind at your hotel.

On day nine, a transfer takes you to the airport for a flight to Lima to connect with your onward international flight to the UK.
