Day 1 to 4 Accommodation

After settling into your luxury hotel, head out on a private guided tour of the historic centre, once the centre of the Aztec world, Tenochititalan. Learn more about its colonial and revolutionary history, visiting the iconic Cathedral – built upon the main Aztec temple – and the famous murals by Diego Rivera, depicting the city’s past. Spend time exploring at your leisure, before another fantastic tour that focuses on the country’s art, culture and politics in the charming southern neighbourhoods of Coyoacan and San Angel. Here, your personal guide will lead you on a full-day exploration of Frida Kahlo ́s artwork and tumultuous personal life, Leon Trotsky ́s revolutionary politics and controversy, finishing with an in-depth look into Diego Rivera ́s passionate lifestyle, art and legacy.

Day 4 to 7 Accommodation

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

UNESCO recognised San Miguel de Allende is a real gem! Take a private guided tour to observe first-hand Mexican artisans working on their crafts. This experience will be custom designed according to availability of the artisans and according to your interests, though options include a family-run wool rug workshop, a papier-mâché shop and contemporary art studios. Embrace the area’s budding wine scene with a trip to one of the best wineries in the region, Cuna De Tierra Vineyard, with a private tasting of three award-winning labels. More glorious gastronomy awaits the next day as a private chef guide shows you to San Miguel’s main food market, before an interactive cookery class. You'll learn to make fresh tortillas and several traditional stews, before feasting on your creations in the beautiful gardens.

Day 7 to 11 Accommodation

Los Cabos, Mexico

Beautiful beaches backed by desert and world-class marinas filled with luxury yachts await in Los Cabos, as well as great restaurants, authentic plazas, traditional art and charming churches. Your time here is yours to spend as you please. You may prefer to unwind on the white sand or embrace the fabulous facilities at One&Only Palmilla, though a number of amazing activities can be arranged if you like. These include a kayaking and snorkelling excursion to Cabo Pulmo, a private tour of the region, a hike to a striking waterfall, and a private visit to a local organic farm. On your final day, enjoy the morning at your leisure before your return flight to the UK.
