impact is felt by you and not the planet. Which is why Elegant Resorts is working
with Travelife to monitor and manage its environmental affect and support its
suppliers on their road to sustainability.
Travelife is a leading training, management and certification initiative for tourism
companies committed to reaching sustainability. Encouraging the implementation
of sustainable practices that are in line with the Global Sustainable Tourism
Council (GSTC) Criteria, Travelife assists with and recognises commitment to
sustainable business practices.
The road to achieving the Travelife Sustainability Certification is a thorough three-stage process. The first step was to become Travelife Engaged, signifying our commitment to sustainability through the appointment of an external Sustainability Coordinator. Our efforts were then recognised and assessed by Travelife, considering more than 100 sustainable actions and criteria, resulting in Elegant Resorts being awarded the Travelife Partner status in September 2023. Our commitment to sustainability remains unwavering as we work towards achieving Travelife Certified status, a milestone that entails evaluation by an independent auditor.
