Concierge

The concierge team at Elegant Resorts would be delighted to assist with arrangements for your next luxury villa holiday, including pre-booking the services of a private chef, nanny or babysitter, along with equipment such as high chairs, safety gates and cots. We can also arrange car hire (including car seats), plus book spa treatments, tables at local restaurants, tee-off times for guests wishing to play golf and a range of excursions, if required. In addition, our concierge service allows our clients to pre-book food and beverages which will be at the villa for their arrival. Please note that a security deposit will be required upon arrival at the villa.

There’s a children's play area (with climbing frame, swings and slides) and a selection of floats and games for the pools. If they prefer the sea and sand, the two little beaches provide easy access to safe bathing and water sports, with kayaks, paddleboards, life vests and snorkelling gear – the waters are wonderfully calm and protected by Cinnamon Reef. Other amenities include a high chair and cot, babysitting and childcare, with fun activities like face-painting and kite-making to keep them amused for hours. Not forgetting, a luxury cinema with plush leather recliners and the latest blockbuster movies!

Le Bleu promises a magical backdrop for a dream Caribbean wedding, with sweeping grounds, sensational seascapes and lavish trimmings. A wedding breakfast (or rather a feast!) follows, the menus carefully created by resident chefs. And if you fancy bringing along a few extra guests, additional accommodation for up to 40 guests can be provided at sister villa, Indigo. LE BLEU
The first floor has a kitchen, separate lounge and dining room which open up onto the pool deck, via wall-to-wall patio doors, and there are two large Master Bedrooms on either side of the rectangular infinity-edge swimming pool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are scattered across the sunbathing deck and there are alfresco dining and seating areas. The ground floor has an additional six bedrooms, including one with twin beds (which can be made into a king-size bed), a laundry room, home-cinema and library/office with wi-fi throughout. The kitchen comprises three Sub Zero fridges and a 48" 'Wolf' duel-fuel range, blender, coffee-maker, dishwasher, microwave, wine refrigerator and kitchen utensils.

 Petite Le Bleu boasts two separate king-size bedrooms, an additional kitchen, powder room and laundry room, as well as a separate lounge, dining room and a second swimming pool with an in-built, poolside barbecue.

Because of this configuration, Aquamarine and Aqua provide an excellent accommodation option for families.

Anguilla enjoys sunny days and sub-tropical temperatures with tradewinds bringing gentle and refreshing breezes year-round. Rain showers occur all year, but February and March are the driest months.

Hurricanes
There is a ‘hurricane season’ in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, Central Mexico and South Eastern seaboard of America between June and November, the months of August and September being particularly susceptible.

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick (to Antigua), with onward connecting flights to Anguilla. Private charter flights on request.

Beaches

Beaches are a highlight of any Caribbean holiday, though with the much sought after sands of Barbados and unusual pink hues of Bermuda claiming most of the fame, Anguilla is perhaps more of an underdog. While Shoal Bay, on the east side of the island, attracts many holidaymakers with its lively atmosphere and beach buffets, the west coast has a more exclusive and peaceful tone. Maunday’s Bay is a beautiful spot for couples, with views of the neighbouring island of St Martin a few miles into the distance. On the opposite side of the coastline is Meads Bay, a stunning stretch of powdery white sand on the doorstep of many luxury resorts.

Heritage

Anguilla may be more known for its part in colonial history, but prior to this, it was inhabited by Amerindian people, and fascinating titbits of their history can be stumbled upon across the island. The Big Spring Heritage Site was discovered in 1980, home to wall carvings that turned out to be dated back to between 600 – 1400AD. The petroglyphs here refer to the spirit named Juluca, a colourful spirit who is said to still appear in the form of rainbows. Hotel concierge desks are more than happy to advise on and arrange cultural tours that introduce visitors to the island’s heritage, whether your interests be history, art or nature.

Activities

One of the main draws of Anguilla is the beach life – however, a little adventure is welcome in the mix too. With a warm, pristine ocean, it is no surprise that watersports are popular here and that sailing is the national sport. The sub-aquatic kingdom of Anguilla is perhaps the finest in the Caribbean, and features on the checklist of many a diver. Colourful reefs and wreck sites are teeming with marine life, and PADI-qualified instructors cater to both the experienced and beginners with shore dives and excursions out to nearby islets.

Golf

Golfers are very well catered for in Anguilla. The 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course, CuisinArt, spans 7,063 yards of lush greenery, complete with beautiful water features and views over St Martin and the Caribbean Sea. Cyclists may have bike hire arranged for them, while riders can take to horseback to explore their surroundings. For those who prefer to be the spectator, Webster Park nearby hosts a number of cricket matches and other sporting events, alongside domino tournaments, a pastime you will notice is very popular with local residents.

Anguilla serves up wonderful traditional Caribbean food, and many of the restaurants have won numerous accolades for their cuisine. Seafood is a speciality, and freshly caught lobster or crayfish top most menus, along with sizzling fish fries; enjoy the delicious island flavours as you listen to live steel pan music, sitting with your toes in the sand. Fine dining on the island is exceptional, with an array of venues attracting five star chefs from across the globe. Home-grown produce is a pride of the island, along with specially selected imports that feature in many gourmet dishes for a delectable blend of local and international flavours.
