Join a Cape Town Culinary Tour operating from Bo-Kap to De Waterkant and giving guests the chance to enjoy a fusion of different flavours. Begin with koeksisters and rooibos tea tasting, followed by Marco’s Place for an African-influenced snack, Café Charles in De Waterkant for Cape Malay flavours with a Dutch influence followed by some urban foraging of local plants, en-route to last stop, The Fireman’s Arms Bar for Portuguese twist to end the tour.

Covering 1 000 square kilometres in the lesser visited Kalahari Region, Tswalu is the largest private game reserve in South Africa and is Malaria free. The reserve comprises of two sectors, the eastern and the western sectors and, as the reserve is family friendly, lions are only found in one sector. The Kalahari savannah, sand dunes and the Korannaberg Mountains increase the biodiversity of the area enormously.

One of the most memorable experiences for guests of Tswalu is the opportunity to dine at Klein JAN. Chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen retains a Michelin star for his restaurant in Nice, and Klein JAN, his second location, is an exciting and immersive dining experience. Located within a converted farmhouse on the reserve, guests move through the farmhouse for different courses finally ascending to the roof to sip coffee under the stars.
