Day 1 to 2 Accommodation

Singapore

Arrive in Singapore and meet your transfer, spending your first few days staying at the Raffles Singapore, an iconic colonial-era property that blends timeless elegance with modern luxury and the perfect base for discovering the many attractions this city has to offer.

Day 3 Accommodation

Singapore - Kuala Lumpur

Travel on board the elegant Eastern & Oriental Express from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, soaking up the refined atmosphere as you travel through the lush landscape. Admire the scenery as your steward serves an exquisite afternoon tea in your cabin before evening falls and it's time to dress for dinner. Savour the flavours of locally inspired specialities in the Dining Car, followed by engaging entertainment, before retiring to your beautifully appointed cabin with its plush furnishings and wood-panelled walls.

Day 4

Kuala Lumpur - Langkawi

Enjoy breakfast in your cabin as the train glides through the rice paddies and rural villages of western Malaysia.

After lunch, choose from three enriching excursions. Escape to a secluded Langkawi beach for wellness experiences, a mangrove cruise through Kilim Geoforest Park, and time to unwind in paradise. Alternatively, explore the spectacular landscapes of Perlis Geopark by bicycle and discover the history of a former tin mine. Or immerse yourself in Perlis' artistic heritage with a batik workshop, a visit to a private antique collection, and traditional Malaysian afternoon tea.

Return to the train for dinner, followed by live music in the Piano Bar Car as the train stables overnight in Butterworth.

Day 5

West-Coast Line - Butterworth

After breakfast, cross to Penang Island, Malaysia's cultural heart, where a choice of expertly curated excursions awaits. Explore the historic streets of George Town by Vespa, visiting local artists' studios; discover Penang's celebrated cuisine with a market tour, Penang Hill visit and cooking class; or enjoy the freedom to explore George Town independently by trishaw.

Return to the train for lunch and a leisurely afternoon. Unwind with a treatment in the Dior Spa, or explore the charming city of Ipoh, renowned for its colonial architecture and vibrant street art. This evening, celebrate your journey with exceptional dining, live entertainment and panoramic views as the train continues overnight towards Kuala Lumpur.

Day 6 Accommodation

Johor - Singapore

Enjoy breakfast on your final morning on the train as you travel through Johor, the southernmost state of Malaysia, known for its beaches and rainforest. Soon afterwards, the train crosses the strait to Singapore, where you disembark with your magical rail memories.

Once disembarked head to your hotel for one night before relocating to the shores of Langkawi.
