This may be an obvious one, but New York in December is really magical. Walking down the rows of shops with all the decorations up and seeing the Christmas window displays, ice skating in front of the tree at the Rockefeller Centre, or taking a horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park. It can get pretty cold too so there's a good chance of snow.
Whether you're visiting New York for or around Christmas, you'll be fully immersed in seasonal cheer.

This is the best time to visit Thailand, you'll have perfect weather. Not too hot, around 25 degrees, which is perfect for rooftop dining in Bangkok - there are loads of bars and restaurants to try like Above Eleven or many of our hotels have amazing rooftop bars.
Thailand is primarily Buddhist so Christmas isn't a religious occasion here, but that doesn't stop the country from celebrating! This is a destination that loves a special occasion, so the city is full of decorations; you'll also find some of the most luxurious shopping malls in the world which is perfect for picking up presents for loved ones, and many of the hotels have amazing bottomless brunches that lend themselves well to some seasonal celebrations!

Whilst you may not think of sun and sand at Christmas, there are some really magical moments to be had in the Seychelles. One of my personal favourites was at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island - the island paradise becomes so much more spellbinding once the Christmas tree and twinkling lights arrive. But you can go that extra festive mile and keep an eye out for Santa as you spend some time star gazing under the Seychelles' skies. There's hardly any pollution out here so the stars come out in full force. It may not be your typical Christmas activity but it's definitely a memorable one, and still full of festive spirit.
Venice at Christmastime is full of festive cheer. Winter is actually the city's driest season, with many clear, sunny days, perfect for sightseeing. Must-see sights include St Mark's Square, the Bridge of Sighs and Rialto Market, where you can see the city without the crowds. You can also take a tour of the Murano Glass Factory or Venice Glass Museum, and pick up a new decoration for your tree whilst you visit! Yes, it's cold, but there are plenty of cosy spots to discover along the romantic, mist-filled streets.
