Singapore F1 Schedule 2025

Make sure you don't miss a moment of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend with a little help from our up to date F1 weekend schedule.

2025 marks the 16th running of the Singapore Grand Prix which has already established itself as one of the most prestigious events on the F1 calendar.
Since being introduced in 2008 as the inaugural F1 night race, Singapore has become a firm favourite with fans and teams alike thanks to the city's iconic landmarks, the circuit's challenging configuration and the general unpredictability which has gone on to be a hallmark of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend.
The 2024 Singapore Grand Prix was won for the first time by McLaren star Lando Norris, making him only the 2nd British driver alongside former McLaren star Lewis Hamilton to have won the event. McLaren's dominant form thus far in 2025 means that Norris will enter the event as one of the firm favourites alongside his team-mate Oscar Piastri who has this year turned out to be his main championship protagonist.

When is the Singapore F1 Race?

The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix will take place over the weekend of the 3rd - 5th October. This is two weeks later than in the previous year as F1 looks to manage a seemingly ever expanding calendar of events.
Once again, the race will take place after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. There was a gap of just one week between the events in 2024, with the extra time permitted to the teams in 2025 ensuring that more sustainable means of transport can be pursued.
The extra two weeks will also have an impact on the temperatures. Despite the Singapore Grand Prix start time being 8 o'clock in the evening local time, the temperatures experienced by the drivers during the event are still extreme with an average of 28 degrees being recorded during the 2024 event.

What is the Singapore GP Qualifying Time?

The 2025 Singapore F1 qualifying time will be held at 9pm local time in what is set to be a 1 hour session. This will consist of three knockout segments, with the opening 18 minutes deciding the positions of those who will start 16-20th on the grid for the race on Sunday.
The second segment of qualifying will take place after a 5 minute interval and will last for 15 minutes. This will see the 5 next slowest cars eliminated, deciding the competitors who will make it through to the final segment of qualifying which will be a 10 minute, 10 car shoot out for pole position.
Sky Sports F1 will broadcast live coverage of the Singapore Grand Prix Qualifying from 2pm UK time before highlights will be shown of the session on Channel 4 later in the evening.
Qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most important sessions of the weekend given the difficulty of overtaking at the twisty street circuit. Of the previous 15 Singapore Grand Prix, 10 have been won by the car starting on pole position.

What Time Does the Singapore Grand Prix Start?

The Singapore Grand Prix start time is 8pm local time in 2025. This will be at 1pm UK time for those who are watching the event on TV. The race will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1, with highlights of the race being broadcast on Channel 4 later that evening.
Drivers will complete a total of 62 laps of the circuit during the race, covering over 190 miles in total before the chequered flag. It traditionally takes less than 2 hours to complete, with the 2024 running of the event being one of the fastest on account of it being the first Singapore Grand Prix not to feature a safety car period.

What Else Is In the Schedule?

There will be three F1 practice sessions in Singapore prior to Saturday's qualifying session. The first two of these will take place on Friday 3rd October from 5.30pm till 6:30pm local time (10.30am - 11:30am UK time) and from 9pm till 10pm (2pm-3pm UK time).
The 3rd and final 1 hour F1 practice session of the weekend will be held on Saturday from 5:30pm (10.30am UK time). All three of these sessions will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1 for UK viewers.
Other motor racing events forming part of the support calendar for the Singapore Grand Prix include the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and F1 Academy. The F1 Academy will be of particular interest to motorsports enthusiasts this year on the back of a new Netflix documentary which chronicles the back stories of the female drivers who form part of this racing series.
F1 Academy has been established to help develop the next generation of female racing drivers. Both of the F1 Academy races in Singapore in 2024 were won by the eventual champion Abbi Pulling, with the current 2025 championship leader Doriane Pin finishing 3rd in both races. This combined with her impressive 2025 form makes her one of the early favourites for victory at this year's event.

Singapore Grand Prix Concerts

Tickets to the Singapore Grand Prix Concerts have become almost as cherished as tickets to the race due to the array of superstars who have headlined the event over the years. The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix concert will be no exception, with the Foo Fighters and Elton John set to headline the Saturday and Sunday night concerts consecutively. Tickets to the Singapore Grand Prix concerts are included as part of our Singapore Grand Prix holiday packages, ensuring an unforgettable trip for sports and music fans alike.

Singapore F1 Tips

The dominant form of the McLaren team so far in 2025 combined with Lando Norris' easy win at the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix makes them the favourites for the 2025 race. However, Norris can expect a strong challenge from his team-mate and championship rival Oscar Piastri who leads the world championship heading into the event.
Piastri has a relatively poor record in Singapore, having finished over 40 seconds behind his team-mate in the previous two events. However, he has made significant progress with his ability to manage tyre wear during the 2025 season. This will unquestionably put him in a much stronger position this year.
Ferrari also has a strong record in Singapore having won 2 of the previous 4 races with Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz respectively. The abundance of slow corners plays to the strengths of the smaller turbo they run as part of their power unit package. This allows them to accelerate faster out of slow corners. However, the team's form has varied heavily this year, often due to their difficulties in running the car as low to the ground as they would like. Lewis Hamilton's chances of adding to his previous 4 wins are low given that the British driver has so far failed to even finish on the podium since joining the famous red team at the start of this season. However, can you ever truly rule out a 7 times World Champion at a circuit which rewards driver skills more than most.
It would also be foolish to rule out reigning World Champion Max Verstappen. Singapore is one of the few circuits he has failed to win at so far in his career, but his 2nd place in the race last year with a car that was notoriously difficult to drive shows that he will be a factor in almost all conditions.
