During this adventure you will learn the secrets of Moroccan cuisine, considered by many to be some of the most delicious and diverse food in the world. You and your taste buds will be tantalised and challenged as you learn and master the art of Moroccan recipes, giving you the ability to replicate amazing Moroccan dishes in your home for your family and friends.Practice your baking skills making Amlou, Batbout, and other traditional breads, learn hints and tips from Berber chefs cooking traditional Moroccan food, enjoy a day's trek into the neighbouring Azzaden valley, and be in awe of the spectacular views of the Atlas mountain range before returning to your luxury camping site or luxury hotel.
Arrive in
Morocco where you will be transferred to the Atlas Mountains to the warm welcome of The Adventure Boutique team and star baker David Atherton before heading to your hotel for the night.
Your first two days will be spent in the Atlas Mountains where you will enjoy beautiful morning hikes before taking part in your first cookery workshop. The next day will be spent visiting a local women's cooperative who specialise in making Argan Oil and enjoying an authentic bread making session in the afternoon sun.
Today you'll leave the Atlas Mountains and trek to the nearby Azzaden Valley. Here you will be invited to share and learn how a typical meal is prepared with a local Berber family and David, such as Harir soup and Medfouna. After a day of meeting locals and trekking, you'll be camping under the stars in the Azzaden Valley.
A change in location reveals yet another side to the spectacular scenery of Morocco as you head towards
Marrakech in your private transfer. Once in the bustling city, you'll be taken to an exciting workshop, where you will be able to make
your own authentic Moroccan sweets. Before heading back to your luxury boutique hotel for the evening, take part in and learn about the traditional Moroccan tea ceremony, poured from a height.
Enjoy meandering through the streets of Marrakech as you visit the thriving spice markets with a local chef, practice your cookery skills and indulge in the street food of the Jemaa el-Fnaa in the medina quarter, and enjoy an authentic Bastilla making workshop, revered as a local speciality.
