It is so exciting to explore the islands by boat and relax in the hidden bohemian style al fresco dining spots by the crystal clear waters, with amazing food and wine – it’s like your own secret paradise!

Memorable Hotel Experience

Eagles Palace

Cruising along the peninsula of Mount Athos, an autonomous polity where women are forbidden to enter, meaning my only chance to see it was by water which was truly spectacular! Home to 20 monasteries, many on the waterfront, it was fascinating to see the impressive structures with a trainee Monk as our tour guide sharing insights into the history, culture and his future vows.
