In-room films can be requested and children can use both swimming pools – those under twelve years of age must be supervised by an adult. However, this is a very secluded, tranquil resort, a fair distance from Hangzhou itself and situated on the quietest bank of West Lake, so it may not be suitable for guests who require non-stop entertainment.

Whilst the weather in Hangzhou is relatively mild year round, it does see four distinct seasons. Summer – from June to September – is characterized by warm, wet weather; July’s average temperature is 29°C. Two rainy seasons occur each year; the Plum Rain Season – falling in early July- is followed by heavy rains and potential typhoons in August and September. The cold winter falls between December and February, with January’s average temperature sitting at just 3°C. As a result, the best time to explore this breathtakingly beautiful part of China is during Spring, from March to May, or Autumn – from September to November – when the weather is pleasant and mild.
